The Chang Gung Memorial Hospital Linkou "Poor Student Education Subsidy Care Program" aims to help poor students successfully complete their studies in medical industry-related majors and further enhance their employment competitiveness. The key points of the subsidy program are summarized as follows:
1. Target:
1. Students in need from low- to middle-income or low-income families.
2. Applicants must be enrolled in a university or a fourth-year college or above in a related major, and after graduation they can work as nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, information processing, medical equipment repair, mechanical and electrical maintenance, engineering/works, etc.
3. Students majoring in nursing-related majors can only choose to apply for one of the two programs during the same subsidy period: this program or the Chang Gung Nursing Public Funding Program.
2. Subsidy conditions:
1. The economic conditions of the applicant’s family meet the government’s standards for low-income households or lower-middle-income households, with an annual limit of 60 people.
2. Except for freshmen, the average academic score in the previous semester must be 70 points. If an internship course is taken in the current semester, the internship course score must be 80 points or more. There should be no record of demerits, warnings, admonitions, etc.
3. Applicants must first apply for government tuition and miscellaneous fee subsidies, the difference in subsidies from the Chang Gung system, and projects that are not subsidized by the government.
4. After graduation, recipients of the subsidy should seek employment at the designated Chang Gung Memorial Hospital/Jen Ai Medical Center. If accepted, the number of years of service should correspond to the number of years of subsidy. If not accepted, there is no need to repay the previous subsidy.
3. Subsidy Content:
1. Tuition, dormitory fees, and Chang Gung internship fees: Government subsidies must be deducted first, and the difference and items not subsidized by the government (such as uniform fees) will be subsidized by the Chang Gung system.
2. Off-campus housing rental fee: NT$3,000/month/person. Applicants are required to attach a rental contract.
3. Living expenses: RMB 3,000/month/person.
IV. Application Method:
1. Applications are open to students of relevant departments and will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.
2. Fill out the application form and send it directly to Chang Gung Medical Foundation for review.
3. After receiving the application, Chang Gung Medical Foundation will review the applicant's qualifications. Those who are not qualified will not be notified separately.
